Guatemala 2010 Cup of Excellence – Winning Farms

Posted in coffee, coffee cupping, coffee roasting with tags , , , , , , , , on May 29, 2010 by Chad

Another surprise winner in the 2010 Guatemala Cup of Excellence–El Injertal!  Ok, it’s not a surprise.  That makes it three straight for the Pacamara from El Injertal, and four of the last five for the farm overall.  In addition, it was the only lot to be given the CoE Presidental award for scoring over 90 points.

We’re happy to report that two of the international jury members have graced us with their collaboration on CoE or other direct coffee buying, Mary Tellie from Electric City Roasting Company, and Colleen Anunu from Gimme! Coffee.

Our little home roasters’ auction to benefit Coffee Kids has just finished its first week.  The last hour had a run of furious bidding, with one unlucky soul missing out of a lot by two seconds!
