About

I have loved coffee my entire adult life, making the jump to grinding my own whole beans over 15 years ago. Within the past year, after continuing with the same standard pot, grinder and beans with few exceptions (farm visits on Kauai and Kona, Hawaii and buying Jamaica Blue Mountain in Jamaica), I managed to jump down the rabbit hole of fresh roasted coffee, quality grinders, home roasting, green bean sourcing, espresso, and all things coffee.

I have a full-time non coffee job (for now) and live with my wife, two daughters and my two German Shorthaired Pointers in Alexandria, Virginia.

Feel free to drop me a line, especially if you are local or plan to visit the DC area. I’m always ready to meet up with fellow coffee enthusiasts.  I can be reached at chad (at) noquatercoffee.com

I am the owner of an online green coffee site for home roasters, www.noquartercoffee.com.

I am working to expand the vision of No Quarter Coffee as a locus for connecting smaller roasters and shops–working to expand opportunities in specialty coffee.

    Chad,

I never never ventured over to your web site. I have enjoyed looking and learning more about you and “No Quarter Coffee.” Reading your short bio the fact that you have 2 German Shorthairs got my attention. My last dog, Storm, was German Shorthair and he was a fine companion at home and in the field for 13 years! I’m looking forward to my July roadtrip your way. Hope to stop in and see Joel’s shop in DC. Take care and thanks again for your help! Jim

  4. Chad,
Love the new logo! Any chance of getting that logo on a hat? It would look great on a medium gray hat (similar to the background on your site). Love the site! Thanks.

  8. This is a very good write-up, I found your web site looking around aol for a similar theme and arrived to this. I couldnt come across to much different info on this write-up, so it was great to find this one. I will likely end up being back again to check out some other posts that you have another time.
